node-zwave-js 15.31.2: controller-migration fix and ten device presets
What happened: The Z-Wave driver tagged 15.31.2 at 10:35 UTC. Bugfixes: 700- and 800-series controller migrations now set the device class to Static Controller; the driver no longer overrides values in preset objects owned by the application; invalid statuses in a Powerlevel Test Node Report are rejected; nvmedit ignores stale SUC update entry bytes and 0xff padding. New config presets cover the Zipato and Philio PAN04, Vemmio DS100, PAB01, Qubino 3-Phase ZMNHXD, Aeotec Indoor Siren 6, Intermatic PE653, Shelly Wave Shutter QNSH-001P10, Qubino Flush Shutter DC ZMNHCD, Merten 506004 and Springs RSZ1. TypeScript moves to 7.0.2 under the hood.
Why it matters: If you have migrated a Z-Wave network between controller sticks, the corrected device class changes how the controller itself shows up in the network. Z-Wave JS UI users get this with yesterday's UI release line or the next one; standalone driver users can pull it now.

What happened: heise reported Monday 19 October that IKEA's smart radiator thermostat LILLJEBÄGGE — Matter over Thread — reaches German stores in January 2027 at an expected €14.99. An IKEA spokesperson told heise sales are planned to begin right at the start of the new year; IKEA's German product page lists the €14.99 price, but IKEA has not confirmed it and it could change. The thermostat is already on sale in Sweden at 199 kronor — just under €18.
Why it matters: A Matter-over-Thread radiator valve at IKEA pricing makes whole-apartment heating control realistic without a vendor hub — as a Thread device it needs a Thread border router, which you may already run. It is not on sale yet; there is nothing to buy until January.
What happened: Core 2026.10.2 (stable since Friday), Supervisor 2026.10.3, HAOS 18.3 stable with 18.4.rc1 on the beta channel, ESPHome 2026.10.0 (fresh off Wednesday's stable), Z-Wave JS UI 11.25.0 and Zigbee2MQTT 2.14.2 — all unchanged today.
